On Saturday Greg took us on a driving tour of Wichita. It’s a much, much bigger city than I had imagined. Beautiful historic buildings and art everywhere. We had lunch at TJs Burgers and then headed to Bradley Fair for the Christmas Tree lighting and carriage rides! We had a blast just walking around taking pictures listening as Greg sang along with every Christmas song that came on, many of which neither Dave or I knew.
The next day we went back downtown to walk and take pictures while there was no one on the streets. It was peaceful, no traffic-not even city buses, there were very few people around, and just about all of the buildings were dark.

This fox figured it out.
Touring the city, just like us.
Happy cat with its catch, just relaxing on the street corner.

Reading the paper and waiting. I love the clock.
Someone left their shoes and briefcase…
Waiting for the bus, shoes and briefcase by the bench. During the summer there’s a water fountain at his feet.
Joan of Arc in front of the Library.
There are lots of small hidden sculptures, too. We found this guy and a few small swallows.

What’s going on over there? A picnic?
A girl and her friends.
Wichita’s Pop Up Urban Park. Very colorful and a great place to hang out. There’s a concrete ping pong table where the guys are standing in the background.
Just before sunset we headed over to check out The Keeper of the Plains plaza. There are multiple firepits around the Keeper that are lit up for awhile every night. We missed it but hopefully we’ll see it before we leave. Keeper of the Plains

Sunflowers are still blooming around the Keeper of the Plains.
Neat pedestrian bridges.

Then in our search for wifi we found a Dunkin Donuts!
