Hanging at Umpqua

We made it… To Umpqua River Lighthouse http://www.umpqualighthouse.org/

We finished up at the Cove Palisades after the holiday and had only two days to make it from central Oregon to Winchester Bay, OR.  We had hoped to have more time to take a break after the four continuous months of volunteering at the Cove but were unable to do that due to scheduling problems… We shortened our arrival date at Umpqua and arrived on the 12th, two days earlier than we had to.

We got to work the next day. We love the brisk pace at the museum and giving tours in the lighthouse. She is indeed a beauty.

As we eat dinner tonight (home-made chili) we are looking out our window at the sweeping red and white beams of the 118 year old lighthouse.

We were welcomed by a beautiful, warm, sun-shiney day and relaxed with a gorgeous sunset!
