What a weird weather day. We spent about 4 hours out working on the trail and the whole time the weather would change from muggy and sunny to cold and snowy. We would shed layers of clothes only to put them back on 5 minutes later… Still a somewhat productive day. The section of trail we’re working on is for horses and over the past 5 years, since the trail was originally cut, has overgrown and been worn down to just a 1 foot wide path, we’re cutting it back to the intended 6 foot width. The whole section is heavy in blackberry bushes and other miscellaneous, foot and tool grabbing vines, they make for slow going but we’re getting it done and it looks good. The horses riders should be able to walk down the trail now without having to duck to avoid getting snagged or knocked off their ride.
