We have all heard the old saying “What goes thump in the night?” But what goes thump in the day? Or better yet-what goes thump, thump, thump, thump and on and on and on for several miles?
That would be Heather’s bike tire.
We were returning from our 22 mile trip from Banks, OR when the thumping started. Only about 3 to 4 miles away from home and Heather’s tire was FLAT. Done, squished, finished, out of air and thumping like a washing machine.
She gave it the old “one-two” and kept riding all the way to the state park entrance. It was about 5:30ish and getting dark fast. We have new tires and tubes for the bike (bought in AZ) and will put them on soon. Or at least before we ride again…
